So we’ve finished the 6-week Transformation course – its been the hardest but best 6 weeks. There’s been a couple of nights that I didn’t feel up to it but with our great team of amazing people we have motivated each other to work hard and it’s really paid off. I’ve done my weigh-in and I’ve lost nearly a stone overall, I feel the best I’ve ever felt and I’m looking forward to the next 6 weeks. It’s going to be hard but the good thing is we have the same team, without them being there it wouldn’t be the same .. so I’d just like to say thanks guys for putting up with me for the last 6 weeks …also a big thanks to Ray Pharoah, Mathew Worrall and Paul Kimber you’ve done us proud.

halfway update:

Weight Loss = 7lbs; Moobs = shrinking!

Well it’s hard to believe we are half way though the challenge now, if I said it’s been easy I’d be lying! This has definitely been the hardest training I’ve done, but the hard work is paying off. I’ve ached more than ever and been so out of breath it’s felt like my lungs were exploding, but within five minutes I can feel the endorphins kick in and that’s what makes me want to come back for more. It’s hard to explain but feels so good!

The team have been great, we all encourage each other to push harder and we all need this at times when you feel like giving up. My body is starting to change shape now and my wife tells me I look leaner (first time in years she’s said that!) …

Up till now I’ve lost 7lbs in weight, my clothes are fitting much better and at last my moobs are shrinking. I’m also stronger .. I never thought I’d say this but i actually don’t mind doing squats now! I’m going to leave measuring my waist till the end of the challenge just so I don’t get too obsessed with measuring.

All in all it’s been a great experience so far. Coach Ray has been amazing and Paul and Matt are there pushing us to stay with it which is what we need when we feel like giving up. I’m really looking forward to the next three weeks and I’ve also signed up for the follow-up programme after that!

My reason for joining the programme:

The reason I applied for this challenge is because I’m 57 now and if I don’t make some serious changes to my life, I’m not going to make old bones. I eat and drink too much and I’ve always struggled to keep up regular exercise, but I don’t want to end up an old man with a walking stick, high blood pressure and a fat belly. I want to be around when the grandchildren get older and be as fit as I can to enjoy activities with them. I also want to better myself and work as hard as I can to prove that I can do it.
