Halfway update:

Weight Loss = 7.5lbs; Inches Lost = 4″ waist and hips; 1″ thighs

I can’t believe how the last 3 weeks has flown by! I feel more confident and less stressed in general which has been with the added bonus of dropping a trouser size for work! I guess you don’t see changes when you see yourself in the mirror everyday but I’ve been told that I look happier and I know that my clothes fit better – a couple of our teamies said I look thinner around the waist in my gym kit.

I love how I feel about things I’d never normally even attempt – rather than dreading what’s on that white board as I walk in I’m excited and determined to work hard now – we all are! We speak every day, ask each other advice and help each other stay on track and motivated so I’ve gained friends as well as energy.

So far I’ve lost 7.5lbs and just under an inch from each thigh. I’ve lost 11cm from my waist and hips all in and I didn’t measure my arms but they definitely look and feel a bit more toned to me. I usually see my boobs vanish before anything but actually building muscle there is keeping them in place which is good and the other half says that the dimples at the bottom of my back are also more visible.

All in all it’s happy days thanks to Ray, ably assisted by Paul and Matt, can’t wait to see what the next few weeks hold and then to sign on for another 6 weeks to follow that too.

MY REASON FOR JOINING THE PROGRAMME:

I’m a 38 year old mum of 3, I’m tubby but a lot thinner than I used to be 3 years ago – I started with a few sessions in the gym including body pump which I loved and then started running. Now I’m 3 dress sizes smaller and run marathon distance – this year I’m taking on London as well as 11 other marathons to prove to my children that you don’t have to finish first and that you can do anything if you train! In order to run well and efficiently you have to have a decent foundation and I’d love to improve on it but I can’t do that doing what I’ve always done so let’s get shot of my comfort zone. Skinny isn’t my goal; fit is.
