Strength and Conditioning incorporates cardio fitness and strength training into one workout. That means you will get fit and strong at the same time and reach your goals in the fastest possible time.
The reason why strength and conditioning has gained so much in popularity lately is because of the amazing results it achieves: those people you see on social media looking perfect in their gym gear? They’re doing some form of strength and conditioning training! And if you work out regularly at Southern Legion you WILL get fit and you WILL get strong. Our coaches are here to make sure that happens.
At Southern Legion we do all of the programming for you so all you have to do is turn up and give it your best effort. We understand that joining a new gym can be intimidating so all of our beginners get extra support and a tailored workout set to individual ability.
The general structure of a 1 hr S&C class is:
- 10 mins warm-up
- 10 mins strength training
- 10 – 20 mins high intensity cardio workout with strength elements
- 10 mins cool-down
In terms of movements, we believe in training our members to be fit for life not just for the gym. Need to run for the bus in the morning? We train you in short, sharp sprints. Carry shopping from the car? We prep you with farmers walks. Got a baby or a toddler who loves being chucked in the air? We do hundreds of wallballs!
Whatever the stresses and strains of your daily life, our training programmes prepare you to face them with strength and positivity.
